Presentation Order
17/05/09 14:01
The final project list has been ordered according to the order we will use for the presentations on Monday and Wednesday. On Monday, we will go from the start of the list through last names beginning with K, and we will finish with the rest on Wednesday. If there are any conflicts, please let us know by tonight so we can reorder the list.
Attendance at the presentations on both days is mandatory, unless you have a conflict that you have already told us about. Seeing all the hard work your fellow classmates have done is quiet fun, and we are sure you will enjoy learning about the range of projects and interests of the class!
Also, don’t forget that your presentation videos are due at midnight tonight (Sunday, May 17th).

Final project proposal list online
15/04/09 11:00
The list with the final project proposals that we reviewed is now online. Please make sure your proposal is listed and notify Miriah if it is missing.
We asked most of you to extend or change the proposal. Please resubmit the new proposals by tomorrow, Th, April 16.
On Friday we will assign the projects to TFs (see last column in the project list). You then need to schedule a 15 minute time slot to meet with your TF during project review week (Apr 27 - May 1). Your TF will send you an email with more details about how to sign up by early next week.
For students who can come to class (i.e., not distance students) you’ll need to pick a 15 minute slot with your TF during class time on Mo, Apr 27 or Wed, Apr 29. The meetings will take place in our usual classroom. For distance students the TFs will be available at additional times.
In preparation for the project review, you need to submit the progress report by Wed, Apr 22.

Final project page updated
14/02/09 16:20
We updated the final project page with a schedule and the detailed project requirements. Please take a look.
We also added a few project board to the class forum, where you’ll be able to find team mates, project ideas, and data sources.
It is not too early to start thinking about your final projects. Find a topic you’re passionate about, formulate some interesting questions, find data, and create a cool interactive visualization to answer your questions. Easy as a pie chart. ;-)
