CS 171 Visualization

Guest lecture Wed, March 4: Jock Mackinlay

Jock Mackinlay, a world-famous visualization researcher who has been mentioned in class quite often, will give a guest lecture on Wednesday. He will talk about Tableau, the interactive visualization software that you will be using in HW 3.

Even though Jock will speak remotely from Seattle (thanks to the magic of the web and the telephone) I highly encourage you to come to class and to ask questions and engage him in a discussion. I am out of the office next week, but Miriah will keep an eye on attendance.

For online students - as usual - please ask your questions on skype.
